UFE's position on the Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA)

UFE replies to the European consultation regarding smart sector integration : to reach carbon neutrality by 2050, it is compulsory to promote an integrated energy system based on the use of renewable and low-carbon energies. To that extent, empowering both electrification and energy efficiency is paramount especially in the transport, the building or the industry sector. Alongside several structural reforms (Energy Taxation Directive, EU ETS system, TEN-E regulation…), UFE underlines that tomorrow’s energy system should also rely on a clear and comprehensive framework especially regarding the future role of renewable gases
