REVISION OF EU RULES ON ELECTRICITY MARKET DESIGN: the council of the EU is on the right track

With the Energy Working Party of the Council of the EU meeting this week to discuss the last revisions of the Market Design Regulation and Directive proposed by the Estonian Presidency, UFE welcomes progress made on capacity mechanisms and short-term markets, as well as the new provisions that open up the possibility for better, tailor-made relations between the consumer and his supplier. However, UFE draws Member States’ attention on remaining issues to address.
