The Union of the French Electricity is the professional association of the electricity sector. It represents companies across the entire value chain of the French electricity sector: producers across all technologies, network operators, electricity suppliers and energy efficiency service providers, as well as storage and consumption management operators. It brings together more than 500 companies, representing over 300,000 direct and indirect jobs throughout France.
In France and at European level, UFE works to position electricity as a societal solution that creates value and jobs, strengthens energy sovereignty, enhances industrial competitiveness and purchasing power, and contributes to combating climate change. As a public interest organization, it is committed to the efficient electrification of energy uses and to the removal of obstacles to its deployment, based on expertise and collective dialogue.
UFE is a member of Eurelectric, the MEDEF, France Industrie, the Platform for Electromobility and the monthly Bureau of the Plan Bâtiment Durable.
It also represents electricity sector employers in the electricity and gas industries’ pension scheme.
