Réponse de l’UFE à la consultation publique relative à la révision de la Directive Taxation de l’Energie (ETD)
7 janvier 2021
In October 2020, UFE replied to the European Commission’s public consultation on the revision of the Energy Taxation Directive (ETD). UFE welcomes the Commission’s initiative to align the ETD with the EU’s climate and energy policy goals. UFE believes the ETD must remove disparities between energy carriers by including a carbon-related component. Indeed, electricity consumption is currently more taxed, compared to its CO2 content, than fossil fuels.
