Réponse de l’UFE à la consultation publique relative à la mise en place d’un mécanisme d’ajustement carbone aux frontières (CBAM)
7 janvier 2021
In October 2020, UFE replied to the European Commission’s public consultation on the proposal for a Directive on a carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM). UFE welcomes the Commission’s initiative to avoid carbon leakage while reinforcing the EU’s climate ambition. When it comes to the design of the CBAM, UFE is in favour of the creation of a specific tool outside the ETS dedicated to imports, from which importers would have the obligation to purchase allowances.
