In its response to the EC public consultation on the revision of the Regulation setting performance standards for light-duty vehicles, UFE supports the strengthening of CO2 emission standards for cars and vans in the framework of the EU Green Deal objectives
8 février 2021
UFE welcomes the revision of the Regulation 2019/631/EU establishing CO2 emission standards for cars and vans in order to align them with the objectives of the EU Green Deal. CO2 emission standards are an efficient tool to reduce emissions from the transport sector and increase the supply of zero-emission vehicles. They should be preferred to the option of extending the EU-ETS system to road transport to decarbonise the transport sector in Europe.
