According to figures released by Eurostat, CO2 emissions from energy consumption dropped by 2.5 % between 2017 and 2018 in the EU. This definitely is good news, following the 1.8% increase recorded between 2016 and 2017. Moreover, Germany, the largest European emitter (22,5 % of EU emissions is currently experiencing an encouraging 5.4% decline. As for France (10% of EU emissions), its emissions have decreased by 3.5%! However, both United Kingdom (11,4%) and Poland (10.3%) have very poor results with respectively - 0.3% and +3.5%.
