An umpteenth palace-hotel is being built on George V Avenue, thereby creating a lot of noise, vibration and roars at the detriment of its neighbours. UFE, always concerned about the comfort of its guests, decided without further delay to find a new location for its Annual Conference. It is now within the Pavillon Cambon, with its beautiful halls, that we will welcome you next November 29th, with the presence of the French State Minister of the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, François de Rugy.
Life is full of surprises and twists, the ongoing works to build a new luxury hotel in the adjoining building of the location where UFE was used to organize its Annual Conference, became so loud that we decided to relocate our event on November 29th to a new venue, also located at the heart of Paris. It will thus be at the ESPACE CAMBON, at the 46, rue Cambon, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Of course, until then, everything is organized to make sure everyone is personally informed of this change of venue.
François de Rugy, State Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, will deliver the key-note opening speech of the Annual Conference. He will reaffirm his support to our sector and to all those working to fight against global warming, in favour of the ecological transition, and at the service of a more efficient economy and a more inclusive society.
Europe in the spotlight
As Brexit and the rise of populisms are threatening the European unity, the former President of the Italian Council, Enrico Letta, currently President of the Jacques Delors Institute, will give his insights on the situation and his political vision regarding the upcoming European elections of May 2019. Furthermore, in a context of profound changes of the European electricity markets over the past few years, the first roundtable of the day will be dedicated to the most relevant means to implement collectively the energy transition.
Mobility, Building, Industry: when cooperation becomes the key to success
The day will be organised around the main topic of cooperation amongst economic actors and industrial sectors. Climate change is bringing fast and deep changes to everyone. The speed of these changes, especially those linked to the digital sector, requires now a strong adaptability from everyone. This environment implies closer interactions between sectors to capture opportunities of new activities, beyond the original activity, to preserve added value, technological advance, preservation of the environment and competitiveness. On November 29th, all major sectors will be represented: industry, digital, building, mobility. Through the testimonials of leading companies on the market, innovative start-ups, political and economic experts, the debates of the Annual Conference will be a unique occasion to share and meet to co-build, all together, the world of tomorrow.
