With nearly 25 000 public charging points and 158 000 electric vehicles registered at the end of November 2018, France now has a recharging point for 6,3 cars. This result is in line with the recommendations of the European Commission, which are of one charging point for 10 vehicles in circulation on average. According to AVERE, the French electric car association, 45 000 additional public charging points should be installed by 2020. Regarding private charging points, Enedis, the French DSO, registered 76 300 charging points by private customers and 104 500 at companies.
